Welcome to my homepage!
Hello, this is Miao Hu. I am currently a PhD student in CNRS Laboratoire de Physique Théorique de Toulouse, France. I have visited many countries in my previous education. I have obtained a M.Sc. degree in physics from Heidelberg University, Germany, a B.Sc. degree major in physics and minor in math from Trent University, Canada, and another B.Sc degree in physics from Tianjin Normal University, China.
I have spent many years in learning and also working as a researcher in different topics in physics, such as, astrophysics, optics, high energy physics, and quantum information. I chose to explore these topics mostly because at that time I found some elegant mathematical concepts are used for constructing interesting equations in these domains.
I do not restrict myself in a particular domain, but I really like to work in applied mathematics. Depending on the need, I may pick up a new theory and try my hardest to understand it subtleties.
Currently, I am interested in random matrix theory, its extension to tensors, and stochastic differential equations. I have the intuition that a better understanding of the connection between thermodynamics and information theory sits on the development of these tools. Moreover, many economy and social behaviors can be well described by these probabilistic tools. I believe that this interdisplineary subject has a lot to discover and one thing that is clearly missing is an AI integrated program that helps people to simulate and visualize stochastic process. I am working on writing such a program now.
I am looking for a job that needs me to tackle practical questions in machine learning. Nevertheless, I keep thinking for developing random tensor theory and descripting complexity behavior in many-body physics.
